First, I’m not suggesting you purchase lists and spend a lot of money paying for ads and boosting posts. Yes, some of that is necessary but it’s not what I’m talking about today.
I heard a terrific speech at Toastmasters last week. The speaker used their ATM card as a prop and an acronym to share tips on communicating more effectively.
That speech made me think about all the blog posts I’ve read and written. I asked myself, why do people blog?
Well, I’m going out on a limb here speaking for bloggers everywhere and suggest we blog to connect with the individuals we want to help. We try to share information they can use, with a frequency that is beneficial to them. Sounds like communicating, right?
So I came up with this post to share how you can use your ATM card with your PIN to attract qualified leads. In my slideshare presentation, I talk about how to:
- Target your message for your specific Audience
- Use Terminology that connects with that audience and demonstrates an understanding of their challenges/goals.
- ‘Mix it up’ and use different Methods to generate stronger engagement and continue the conversation with your prospects.
And your PIN. That’s your Unique Selling Proposition (USP) or secret sauce. It’s what special about what you offer? Each of us has something that makes us different in what or how we offer our services.
For me, it’s my focus on giving small businesses the same opportunity to use content marketing as bigger firms. Content marketing is critical for connecting and communicating with our target prospects. One of my clients recently told me she was so excited to have, “her own Sally App”. I liked the sound of that because it captures my USP. I’m your virtual, call me when you need me, marketing partner.
