Well, not necessarily anyway.
When I write a post for my Blog, LinkedIn or Facebook page, clearly I believe what I am writing is important to you, the individuals reading it. I wouldn’t write it otherwise. Right?
But for as long as I have been doing this, I still always remind myself to ask questions like:
- Is this topic important to my readers?
- Does the information help them achieve or move closer to their goals?
- Can my readers take action on the recommendations offered?
Why are these questions important? Because understanding who my target audience is and what they care about is critical to the success of my marketing efforts.
A lot of information is available on content marketing and ideal client personas. And, like anything else mostly it is good. But what I’ve found is that most of it requires more time to implement than a small business can realistically manage. For many, that means they just write and hope.
There is a middle ground that a small businesses can manage. I’ve created an eBook, A Step by Step Guide to Inbound Marketing Success that will walk you through a simple 5-step process.
- Creating an Ideal Client Persona
- Understanding what Content they want (and need)
- Using Social Media to share your content
- How (and why) email marketing can work for you
- How to measure key results using Google Analytics
